February 15: Our Speaker will be Shawn Jasper House Representative from Hudson, There will be an election for officers (Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer) of the Windham Republican Committee. Meet at the Windham Senior Center at 7:00 PM. |
March 15: at the Windham Senior Center. Our guest speaker will be noted NH political writer James Pindell of the WMUR Political Scoop. James is an absolute font of information and data about NH politics. I imagine he'll have a lot to say about the upcoming NH Presidential Primary and will be looking to hear from local voters about they view events shaping up. April 19: Our meeting will be at 7:00 PM at the Windham Senior Center. Our speakers will be Windham’s Chief of Police, Gerald Lewis, and the Honorable David Welch, NH State Representative from Kingston. Chief Lewis has over 30 years experience in law enforcement, and has been Windham’s Police Chief for 6 years. As a veteran police officer, he is charged with enforcing laws regarding firearms, as well as overseeing the Department’s weaponry. He brings a hands on knowledge of practical enforcement, as well as a realistic approach to public safety. Rep. Welch has been in the NH House for 27 years, serving on the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee. All legislation concerning firearms goes through this committee, giving him an in depth knowledge of our State Statutes on every phase of gun ownership and use. He is also an expert on all types of firearms, from antique weapons to modern ones, and has been a firearms instructor for over 40 years. |

May 21: I want to especially invite you to our Jon Huntsman visit two Saturdays hence on May 21, 5:00 pm at Nesmith Library. With presidential candidates coming to Windham, it is important to the Primary that they see our local luminaries taking an interest. Of course, encounters like this are in the tradition of retail politics that gives the Primary its well-deserved reputation and attendance will not be treated as any endorsement.
I understand the many burdens on your time and so I'm grateful if you can make space on a Saturday. I wish I could promise this was the only time, but it will be like this every 6-8 weeks through next January. That's the burden of being First in the Nation.
